Techno Café: Coffee, Reimagined Inside a 1939 Landmark
Rock Hill, South Carolina
Techno Café set out to rethink the coffee shop experience. More than a place to order a drink, the café serves as a showroom for their innovative, unattended coffee machines designed to deliver café-quality beverages without the need for a traditional barista. Their “rogue barista café” is part gathering spot, part live demonstration of how technology can transform the way we enjoy coffee.
Where History Meets High-Tech
The Lowenstein Building, with its 1939 architecture, concrete columns, and industrial character, provided a distinctive backdrop. The challenge was weaving modern automation into a historic space - creating a café that felt both cutting-edge and inviting, without losing the building’s timeless charm.
