From Hardware Store to House of Worship: Venture Church’s New Home in Harrisburg

Venture Church has transformed a former Ace Hardware in downtown Harrisburg, NC, into a 15,900-square-foot worship facility and community hub.

The adaptive reuse project includes a full exterior facelift, a 5,000-square-foot patio, and a half-size soccer field built with artificial turf for year-round play. Inside, the building houses not only a worship space but also a for-profit daycare—serving families throughout the week and ensuring the campus is active seven days a week.

With spaces designed for worship, childcare, recreation, and connection, the new Venture Church campus reflects a vision that reaches beyond Sundays and into the heart of the Harrisburg community.
